Product Characteristics
The most visible nutrient deficiency in plant breeding is iron deficiency. It is a known nutritional deficiency which is chlorosis or jaundice. Initially, iron deficiency appears on young leaves. In the later stages, the color starts to light up in the leaves and it becomes light yellow or even white.
Iron is an important element in photosynthesis and chlorophyll synthesis in plants. It is also found in the structure of proteins. If iron deficiency is not eliminated, results such as serious yield loss and growth retardation occur in plants; it causes the trees to dry completely in advanced stages.
